Kicsit megkésve-két héttel, hazautazásom után, de felteszem végre az utolsó blogbejegyzést is.

Two weeks after my arrival and a bit late, but finally I upload my last blog entry.

After I arrived from my 5 day trip (Kyoto, Ósaka, Nara), I spent my last two weeks in Japan, which I tried to spend productively so I went to see the other districts for one last time. We went to Ueno with the girls wearing yukatas, and then we went to have sushi together. I went with my friend Momoko to Namjatown in Ikebukuro, which is like an indoor theme park (like J-World in my earlier post). Here’s a smaller street where you could try all kinds of gyoza, which we did. There were also all kinds of cute desserts, like Bunny Ice Cream or the crépes decorated with figures. The place itself is really popular, which was stunning for me as I have never heard of Namjatown. After this with Momoko we went to Animate which is an 8 storey anime-manga shop, where we bought all sorts of mangas and anime merchandise. Before the girls travelled back home, we went to make some cosplay purikuras too. On the last week I managed to go shopping in Harajuku and Omote sandó, Shibuya 109. I got some cute dresses and accessories and luckily there were sales everywhere. Recently a Rilakkuma café opened in Shibuya, where I absolutely had to go. The four of us went to Tower Records, where the café was on the 2^nd floor. As Rilakkuma is quite famous and the café is only open for a time, we had to wait a little (30-40 mins) to get a table. The place itself was cutely decorated as it is with all themed restaurants and there were smaller and bigger plushies at the tables too. All four of us ordered the big menu set, which had a Rilakkuma drink, Rilakkuma main dish (curry rice) and a Rilakkuma dessert.

And on my last day I went to Asakusa to take some more pictures of the lit up shrine and gates. I managed to take some photos of the Tokyo Tower at night as well. On my last evening in the dorm our Japanese friends prepared a last dinner for us, as the next day many of us travelled back home.On Saturday morning, after I said goodbye to the manager and some others, I left for my last train ride to Haneda Airport. On the Airport I spent all my remaining yen on all sorts of traditional Japanese sweets and last souvenirs, and then I boarded the plane.

In the end, all I want to say is that getting to Japan was one of my dreams, and I would have never imagined even a year ago that I will have the opportunity to come here. This 4 and a half month was quickly over, but I feel that Japan became part of my life, taking the train every day, the food, and living in the gigantic city of Tokyo. There were stressful weeks because of the university, but on the weekends I often managed to travel around with the others for days into different districts of Tokyo, or to nearby cities. I realized at the beginning that Japan is a completely different world, where it is not easy to fit in, however in the end I feel like I managed to get used to living here. I hope I will still have an opportunity to travel back to Japan, as there are still many places I would like to visit. Finally I want to thank everyone that supported me in my preparations for getting to Japan and during my stay here.

Miután megjöttem az ötnapos kirándulásból (Kyoto, Ósaka, Nara), az utolsó két hetet Japánban, próbáltam produktívan tölteni, így elmentem több városrészt is még egy utoljára meglátogatni. Voltunk a lányokkal Ueno-ban yukatába felöltözve, majd voltunk egy utolsót sushizni is.

Elmentem Momoko barátnőmmel a Namjatown-ba Ikebukuroba, ami egy benti vidámparkszerűség (mint a J-World, egyik korábbi blogomban). Itt van egy kisebb utca ahol, több különböző gyoza-t lehet kipróbálni, amit mi természetesen meg is tettünk. Voltak itt még különböző cuki desszertek-, mint a nyuszis fagyi, figurákkal díszített crépe-k. Maga a hely nagyon népszerű, amit én nem gondoltam volna, hisz nem sokat hallottam Namjatown-ról. Ezután Momoko-val elugrottunk az Animate-be egy 8 emeletes animes- mangás üzletbe, ahol beszereztünk mangákat meg mindenféle animés dolgokat. Mielőtt a lányok hazautaztak elmentünk még egy utolsót cosplay purikurázni is. Az utolsó héten sikerült még Harajukuba és Omote sandóba, Shibuya 109-ba egy jó nagyot vásárolni. Beszereztem egypár cuki ruhát meg kiegészítőt és nagy szerencsére mindenhol leárazások voltak. Nemrég Shibuya-ba nyílt egy Rilakkuma cafe, ahova természetesen el kellett mennem. Négyen el is mentünk a Tower Records-hoz, ahol a második emeleten volt ez a cafe berendezve. Mivel Rilakkuma elég híres, és ez a cafe csak egy bizonyos ideig működik, így várnunk kellett egy keveset (kb. 30-40 percet), hogy kapjunk egy asztalt. Maga a hely nagyon cukin volt berendezve, mint ahogy ez a témás- éttermeknél lenni szokott, voltak kisebb- nagyobb plüssök az asztaloknál. Mind a négyen a nagy menü szettet kértük, amiben volt egy Rilakkumás ital, egy Rilakkumás főétel (curry rice) és egy Rilakkumás desszert.

És az utolsó napomon, pedig Asakusába mentem, hogy még egy utoljára csinálhassak egypár képet a kivilágított szentélyről és kapukról. A tokyo Tower-ről is sikerült még utolsó képeket csinálnom éjszaka. Az utolsó estén pedig a koleszban a japán barátok készítettek egy utolsó vacsorát, hisz következő nap voltak többen is akik hazamentek. Szombaton reggel pedig, miután elköszöntem a menedzsertől és még egypár embertől, elindultam utolsó vonatos utamra a Haneda reptérre. A reptéren még sikerült az utolsó yenjeimet mindenféle tradicionális japán édességekre és utolsó szuvenírokra elköltenem, majd felszálltam a gépre.

Végül csak annyit mondanék, hogy az hogy Japánba eljussak, mindig is egy álom volt számomra, és sohasem gondoltam volna- még egy évvel ezelőtt se- hogy nekem egyszer sikerül majd ide kijutnom. Ez a 4,5 hónap gyorsan eltelt, viszont úgy érzem Japán már az életem részévé vált- a mindennapi vonatozás, az ételek, maga az élet Tokió nagyvárosában. Voltak stresszes hetek az egyeteme miatt, viszont a hétvégeken majdnem mindig sikerült egy vagy többnapos kirándulásokat tenni a többiekkel Tokió különböző városrészeibe, vagy Tokió melletti városokba. Arra már az elején rájöttem, hogy Japán egy teljesen más világ, ahova nem volt könnyű beilleszkedni, viszont úgy érzem a végére mégis sikerült valamennyire megszoknom az életet itt kint. Remélem, hogy a jövőben lesz még lehetőségem kijutni Japánba, mert még lenne egypár hely ahova szívesen elmennék majd. Végezetül köszönöm mindenkinek, aki támogatott engem Japánba utazásomra való felkészülésben és ott tartózkodásom alatt.

As soon as we were finished with our exams, we went with the girls (Olivia, Chris, Charlotte) to Isu to the ocean for a long beach weekend. On the first day we were in Usami, where we booked our ryokan. Arriving to Usami we realized how much of a countryside this place is, as lots of Japanese stared at us, since not too many tourists come here. Right after we checked into our ryokan, we went down to the beach, which was about 20 meters from our guest house. The weather was really nice and the water was pleasant as well. After all four of us managed to get some tan (I got a little sunburnt) we went back to cool down a little in the ryokan. In the evening we decided to walk a little on the beach and look for a restaurant or pub where we could have dinner. While on the beach we saw that at a Hawaii style hotel a guy was barbecuing on the terrace, and he spotted us from afar. We waved to him nicely and asked whether we could sit in, as we thought it was a restaurant. He was delighted with the idea and called his friends because as it turned out there were just a bunch of guys there at the bar celebrating. They invited us in for dinner, offer all kinds of grilled seafood (it was the first time for me to eat shellfish and what else… O.o), steak, yakiniku, and veggies. Then they brought us watermelon and lots of different fruits. They also brought huge pitchers of beer and all kinds of Japanese alcoholic beverages. After we had our fill of food and drinks for free, the guys invited us to the beach to try the hanabi (fireworks). They brought many different fireworks and we had fun like we were 8 year olds or something, then they walked us home.

On the second day we went to Ito to swim at the beach and walk around the city. It was a really cozy little place with lots of souvenirs and Japanese restaurants. There was a group of guys on the beach who really wanted to take a picture with us and invited us to have a drink with them, which we politely refused, as they were a little drunk already. After looking around, we went back to Usami where we spent the second night in a different ryokan guesthouse; here the room had a great view to the shore. On the following day we travelled back to Tokyo. We had a great time, especially as this was our last weekend together with the girls, as Olivia and Chris travels back home on Friday.

The next day we decided to go to Roppongi, to the Pikachu Café, that opened last week on the 52^nd floor of the Roppongi Hills building. Arriving there we saw the many Doraemon statues standing there, which we did not really understand why they were there, but we took some pictures of them anyway. Then we went up to the Pikachu Café where you could take the elevator up for a fee of 1000 yen. Arriving at the top of the building, we could see Pokémon scenery and all kinds of exhibited items regarding the next Pokémon movie. There were character designs and all sorts of artworks for this movie. There were also Poké Balls in a dark room, where you pushed a button on them and a holographic Pokémon appeared. Then we arrived to the café, where we could choose from different Pokémon and Pikachu themed food and desserts. I chose the Pikachuburger which was a good choice as it was basically a Teriyaki burger. After we had our food and drinks, we decided to look around for a last time in Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, as they erected a Godzilla statue there some weeks ago because of the new Godzilla film. At half past eight they lit up the statue and smoke came from his mouth, which the kids who ran around really liked. After this we went with the girls to make some Purikuras, where we could take photos in all sorts of costumes for free.

Mihelyst lementek az utolsó vizsgák a lányokkal négyen (Olivia, Chris, Charlotte) elutaztunk Isu-ba, az óceánhoz egy hosszú strandolós hétvégére. Az első napon Usamiban voltunk, ahol a ryokan- vendégházunk foglalva volt. Usamiba érkezve, árjöttünk, hogy ez a hely mennyire vidéken van, mivel nagyon sok japán megnézett minket, hisz nem sok turista jár ide. Mihelyst becsekkoltunk a ryokanunkba, mentünk is le a vízpartra, ami kábé 20 méterre volt a vendégházunktól. Gyönyörű volt az idő, a víz is nagyon kellemes volt. Miután sikerült mind a négyünknek kicsit lepirulnia (nekem leégni), mentünk vissza a ryokanba kicsit hűsölni. Este úgy döntöttünk sétálunk kicsit a tengerparton és keresünk, egy étterem-pub féle helyet ahova beülhetünk vacsorára. A parton sétálva arra lettünk figyelmesek, hogy az egyik hawaii- szerű hotelnél egy srác grillezik a teraszon, aki már messzebbről is felfigyelt ránk. Mi kedvesen odaintegettünk és megkérdeztük, hogy be lehet –e ülni, mivel azt hittük hogy étterem. Erre nagyon megörült és hívta a barátait is, mint ahogy kiderült csak srácok voltak ott a bár részen, és éppen ünnepeltek aznap. Behívtak minket vacsorára, grilleztek nekünk mindenféle tengeri herkentyűt(életemben először ettem kagylót és még nem tudom mit..O.o), steaket, yakinikut és zöldségeket. Majd hoztak nekünk dinnyét is, és emellett még mindenféle gyümölccsel kínáltak minket. Természetesen hozták a nagy korsó söröket is nekünk, meg a különböző japán alkoholt. Miután dugig ettük-ittuk magunkat ingyen a lányokkal, a srácok elhívtak minket még a tengerpartra, hogy a hanabi-t (tűzijáték) is kipróbáljuk. Mindenféle kisebb- nagyobb tűzijátékot hoztak magukkal, amivel, mint a 8évesek eléggé elszórakoztunk. Majd hazakísértek minket.

A második nap pedig Ito-ba mentünk a vízpartra fürdeni és a városba sétálni. Nagyon hangulatos kis hely, sok szuvenír bolttal és japán étteremmel. A vízparton volt egy fiúcsapat, akik mindenképpen akartak velünk egy közös fényképet csinálni és elhívtak minket inni, de inkább nem tartottunk velük, hisz kicsit ittas állapotban voltak már így is. A nézelődés után pedig mentünk vissza Usamiba, ahol a második éjszakát egy másik vendégházban (ryokan) töltöttük, ahol a szobánknak vízpartra néző kilátása volt. Következő nap, pedig utaztunk vissza Tokióba. Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, főleg hogy ez volt az utolsó közös hétvégénk együtt a lányokkal, hisz Olivia és Chris utazik haza pénteken.

A következő nap pedig úgy döntöttünk, hogy elmegyünk Roppongiba a Pikachu cafe-ba, ami kb. egy hete nyitott a Roppongi Hills épületének az 52-ik emeletén. Roppongi Hillshez érve megláttuk a sok Doraemon szobrot az épület lábánál, amit nem igazán értettünk, hogy miért van ott, de csináltunk egypár képet velük. Majd felmentünk a Pikachu cafe-hoz, ahova egy 1000 yen-es belépővel lehetett felmenni a lifttel. Az épület tetejére érve, Pokémonos díszlettel és a közelgő Pokémon filmmel kapcsolatos kiállított dolgokkal találtuk magunkat szembe. Voltak karakter terveknek a rajzai kitéve és különböző látványtervek voltak bemutatva a filmhez. Egy sötétített szobába, pedig voltak Pokémon labdák amik mikor felvilágítottak, nyomásra egy Pokémon hologram jelent meg. Majd elértünk a cafe részhez is, ahol lehetett választani különböző Pokémonos- Pikachu-s ételből, desszertből és italból. Én a Pikachuburger-t választottam, ami jó döntés volt, hisz Teriyaki ízesítésű burger volt. Miután ettünk ittunk és még egy utoljára körbenéztünk, mentünk is Tokyo Midtown-hoz Roppongiba, hisz ott meg pár héttel ezelőtt egy Godzilla szobrot állítottak fel az új Godzilla film alkalmából. Fél kilenckor a szobrot kivilágították és füst jött ki a szájából, ami főleg a körbe-körberohangáló gyerekeknek nagyon tetszett. Ezután pedig a lányokkal még elmentünk egyet Purikurázni, ahol ingyen különböző kosztümökben fényképezkedhettünk.

In the previous two weeks I was rather overwhelmed with my exams, so I did not have enough time to blog, so I will try to make up for the missed reports.

In this post I will tell about my exams (as Kriszti requested), my last days at the university, and last I will tell about our trip to Disneyland.

The exam week started with the Japanese oral exam again, which was not that hard, but this time we could not prepare with a text, as we only got to know the name of our conversation partner right before the exam. The topic was my Japanese experiences and the everyday life in Japan, so we had lot to talk about. I think the oral exam was not bad, we talked all the time without stopping or anything, but I surely had some grammatical errors. Then on the next week for two days we had listening, reading comprehension, Kanji test, then on the last days we had the grammar exam, where we received 8 pages. I think I performed well on these too, but we will only receive the results in September and this will be our Japanese score. In the last days I had a paper to hand in for sociology, which was not that easy as I have never written about cultural capital in English, but I think at the end it was not even that bad. Then came the last exams in Sociology and Anthropology. Well I hope I get an A from all the subjects, but we’ll see in September. It was really strange for me on the last days at the university as I knew that I will not come here to the campus anymore and how I got used to getting here every morning, attending my morning Japanese class and other classes, how we went to the cafeteria to have lunch, or when we bought ice cream there, and the way home from the university. The weather however was not that good in these last days as it was so hot that we were already sweating buckets once we got to the campus. Also the cicadas on the campus were so loud that we could not even hear each other’s voice sometimes. in the end I have to tell you that university was really stressful for me and not for the Japanese teaching methods being so hard, but as it was now really unusual for me as a university student to attend classes every morning, studying hours for the Japanese class and then for the other two classes to study in another language. Especially that I had to communicate in 4 languages every day, which completely drained me by the end of the day. But I will really miss my Japanese class, the university itself, and these small things like, having lunch together, or the conversations with the others during break time.

But let’s talk about happier things now, which is Disneyland! Wow I already forgot which day we went there, all I remember is that it was a Wednesday and we went after Japanese class from the university as it was closer from there by train. We went together with Christine, Olivia, Thomas, and Logan, and as soon as we arrived we started to take lots of pictures. This was the first time for me to be in Disneyland and even though I am 24, I was still enchanted by it. Obviously I love Disney movies but Disneyland itself is wonderful. The place is so magical, every building is special even all the souvenir shops are individually decorated. We tried the most popular rides straight away, like the space mountain, or the Star Wars simulator (I think this was the best), then we went to the Winnie the Pooh themed world which also became one of my favorites. Unfortunately we could not see the whole of the parade, but we managed to see some of the parade floats. At the night parade there were only five floats as it was raining but it was lit up really beautifully. Then we got on another roller coaster and a boat ride where we got little wet. There was a Pirates of the Caribbean themed spooky ride, where I have to tell that the robots were really lifelike, just like in Disneysea. Sometimes we even thought about that some of the robots might be actually real people as they were moving so realistically. So we tried to try out everything we could, and all in all we tried 8-9 of the rides. At the end we watched the musical firework show projected to the Disney palace, and it was exceptionally wonderful! The only sad thing was that it really started to rain, so we could not fully enjoy it, but even so the show with the fireworks and the wonderful music was still very stunning. Then with heavy hearts and lots of experience we went back to Disney station to travel back home. To compare the two theme parks, Disneysea has much more scary rides, preferably for adults, but I also have to tell that Disneyland is such a fabulous experience, just to mention the palace in the middle, that it is really hard for me to decide which one is the better from the two of them. I would be really sad if I could not come back here anymore as I liked it very much, but who knows what the future holds.

Az előző két hétben kicsit el voltam foglalva a vizsgáimmal, így elhanyagoltam a blogomat, de mostantól próbálom majd újra bepótolni az elmaradt beszámolókat.

Ebben a bejegyzésben elmesélem milyenek voltak a vizsgák (Kriszti kérésére) az utolsó napok az egyetemen és végül kicsit mesélek Disneylandről is.

A vizsga hét megint egy japán szóbeli vizsgával kezdődött, ami nem volt olyan nehéz, viszont ezúttal nem lehetett készülni szöveggel, mert a beszélőpárunkat a vizsga előtt tudtuk csak meg. A téma a japán élményeim, a japán hétköznapok voltak, így volt miről beszélni. Szerintem a szóbeli nem sikerült rosszul, végig beszéltünk megállás nélkül, viszont biztos voltak nyelvtani hibáim. Majd a következő héten volt két napon keresztül- hallás utáni, olvasás utáni értés, írásjelek (Kanji), majd utolsó napon a nyelvtani rész, ahol 8 oldalt kaptunk. Úgy érzem ezek sem sikerültek rosszul, viszont az eredményt majd csak szeptemberben kapjuk, meg ami majd a japán osztályzatunk lesz. Az utolsó napokon pedig még volt egy beadandó szociológiából-, ami nem volt olyan könnyű, hisz én még azelőtt nem igazán írtam angolul a kulturális tőkéről angolul, de szerintem a vége nem is lett olyan rossz. Majd jöttek az utolsó vizsgák még szociológiából és antropológiából. Hát remélem sikerült mindenből A-t kapnom (azaz magyar 5-öst), de majd meglátjuk szeptemberben. Az utolsó napok az egyetemen nagyon furcsa érzést adtak, hisz bennem volt, hogy már nem fogok többször ide jönni, és mégis mennyire megszoktam, hogy minden nap bejöttem reggel japánra, többi órámra, elmentünk a menzára ebédelni, esetleg ettünk egy fagyit, majd órák után haza. Az utolsó napokon az időjárás viszont nem volt a legjobb, hisz olyan meleg volt, hogy mire beértünk az egyetemre már háromszor leizzadtunk. A kabócák pedig folyton olyan hangosak voltak, hogy néha már egymás szavát se hallottuk kint a campuson. Végül azt kell, hogy mondjam, hogy a suli számomra nagyon stresszes volt, nem azért mert a japán taníttatás olyan kemény, hanem mert az ember egyetemistaként, már nincs hozzászokva, hogy minden reggel bejárjon órára, naponta több órát japánra készüljön, és akkor még másik két órára, még egy másik nyelven is tanuljon. Főleg nekem minden nap 4 nyelven kellett kommunikálnom, ami a nap végére teljesen leszívta az agyam. Viszont nagyon fog hiányozni a japán osztályom, maga az egyetem, és az ilyen kisebb dolgok, mint a közös ebéd, vagy beszélgetések a többiekkel órák közben.

De most térjünk egy kisebb vidámabb témára, méghozzá Disneylandre! Fú már el is felejtettem mikor is voltam ott, azt tudom, hogy egy szerdai napon voltunk , japán után az egyetemtől mentünk, hisz közelebb van onnan vonattal. Christine, Olivia, Thomas és Logannal indultunk el, majd Disneybe érve már kezdtük is a heves fotózkodást. Nekem ez volt életem első alkalma hogy Disneylandben voltam és azt kell hogy mondjam még így 24 éves korom ellenére is el voltam varázsolva. Persze imádom a Disney meséket, de Disneyland valami csodás. Maga a hely, annyira mesés, minden épület nagyon különleges, még a szuvenír boltok is belülről nagyon egyéniek, mindegyik. A legnépszerűbb dolgokat az elején már ki is próbáltuk, mint a space mountain, vagy a Star Wars-os szimulátor (szerintem az egyik legjobb volt), majd mentünk Micimackó kalandos álomvilágába, ami megint az egyik kedvencem lett. Sajnos a parádét nem teljesen sikerült végignézni, de azért egypár kocsit láthattunk. Az esti parádén pedig csak 5 kocsi vonult fel, hisz kicsit esett az eső, de így is nagyon szép volt kivilágítva. Majd felültünk még egy másik hullámvasútra és egy vizes csónakos attrakcióra- amin kicsit vizesek is lettünk. Volt egy Karib tenger kalózos kísértetes utazás is, ami azt kell hogy mondjam, hogy megint, mint ahogy Disnesea-ben is, a robotok nagyon élethűek voltak. Néha már el –elgondolkoztunk, hogy egypár nem-e ember, annyira élethűen mozogtak. Egyszóval amit tudtunk kipróbáltuk, összességében 8-9 attrakcióra ültünk fel. A legvégén pedig megnéztük a Disney palotára kivetített zenés- tűzijátékos műsort, ami csodaszép volt! Az egyetlen szomorú az egészben az volt, hogy nagyon eleredt a végére az eső, így nem annyira élveztük, viszont a tűzijátékkal együtt meg a csodás zenével elkápráztató volt még így is a műsor. Majd nagy szomorúan, de sok élménnyel elindultunk vissza a Disney állomásra, hogy hazautazzunk. Összehasonlítva Disneyseaben jóval félelmetesebb attrakciók vannak, inkább időseknek, viszont azt kell, hogy mondjam, hogy Disneyland egy olyan mesés élmény, már csak a palotával a közepén, hogy nem tudnék dönteni melyik a jobb a kettő közül. Nagyon sajnálnám, ha többé nem tudnék már ide eljönni, mert annyira tetszett, de ki tudja, még mit tartogat a jövő.

On Saturday, last weekend we went with the girls (Christine, Charlotte) to Odaiba to one of the popular onsen resorts, Odaiba Onsen Monogatari. The onsen does not look big from the outside but from the inside it is huge. It’s a really elegant and traditional building, which was obvious right at the entrance as we had to take off our shoes after the front door and put them into a locker. Then we went to the counter, where we got a bracelet that we could use if we wanted to buy something in the onsen (they scanned the code of the bracelet and kept a tab for us which we paid when we left the onsen together with the tickets and everything). The entry fee (or in this case exit fee: D) was about 3000 yen which included the yukata we got to wear during our stay there, and two towels for the onsen. Every additional cost was scanned to our bracelet. We chose our own set from 5 yukatas and 3 obis. In the dressing room we took on our yukatas over our undergarments and went to the restaurant and game section. This part had Edo age themed restaurants, game stands and souvenir shops. We decided to eat some sushi first, so we sat to one of the tables, when a group of guys came over to us as they wanted to take a picture with us. When we finished the sushi we went outside, where there was a warm foot bath. It was a narrow stream paved with smaller sharper stones and larger flat ones where you could walk. At the end of the road there was a fish pedicure/ Doctor Fish treatment that I always wanted to try out. Here inside a smaller building in a pool there are small fishes and if you put your feet in the water the fishes nibble the dead skin off your feet. As I’m really ticklish I only took the 15 minute treatment, but I barely kept myself from screaming. The first 5-8 minutes was terrible, they tickled so hard I though I’m going to scream. The old couple next to me just smiled at my misery. The 15 minutes cost 1650 yen, which is not the cheapest but this is something you can’t try anytime. Then with the girls we went to the onsen. Here there’s a bigger interior part with 6 different pools (the water temperature began at 40°C) and an outside part with 3 different pools, and 4-5 bigger wooden barrels (filled with hot water). At first we tried a white milky onsen, then a salty one, then after 5-5 minutes we had to leave them as the water was so hot. Naturally the outer part was the most beautiful surrounded by rocks and green garden. We did not stay there much either; about 8 minutes later we headed back. After each pool we poured cold water on ourselves to bear this heat. Then we went back to the game stands where we ate some Japanese shaved ice.

After the onsen we went to the Miraikan where 2 women looking robots where shown in the news in the last days; they were designed to look like news reporters. We checked the robots (it was really frightening for me, they were so realistic), then we looked around on the other floors as the building was full of all kinds of robots. Then we went to the shore to see it illuminated in the evening. The bridge was beautiful with the illuminated Tokyo tower in the background and all those colorful ships in the ocean. As it was getting late, we headed back home.

Onsen Monogatari

Előző hétvégén, szombaton, Charlotte, Christine és én elmentünk Odaiba-ba az egyik népszerű onszen-be ami az Odaiba Onsen Monogatari. Az onszen kívülről nem tűnik nagynak, de belül óriási. Nagyon elegáns és tradicionális épület kívül-belül, ez már abból észlelhető volt, hogy a bejárati ajtó után rögtön le kellett vennünk a cipőinket és egy cipőmegőrzőbe (locker) tenni. Majd mentünk a pulthoz, ahol kaptunk egy karperecet, amit vásárlásra használhattunk az onszen területén (ha venni akartunk valamit, akkor csak beolvasták a kódot a karperecről, így kicsekkolásnál egybe fizettünk mindent a belépővel együtt, ami a karperecre ár rá lett olvasva). A belépő ára (azaz ez esetben a kilépő: D) kb. 3000yen volt, amiben benne volt, hogy kaptunk yukatát az ottlétünk alatt és két törülközőt az onszenhez. Minden mást külön ráolvasták a karperecre. Yukatát magunk választhattunk 5 különböző féléből és 3 különböző obiból. Az öltözőben átvettük a yukatánkat az alsóneműnk felé és mentünk is be az éttermek és játék részhez. Ez a részlet Edo kori japán stílusú éttermekkel volt tele, játékstandokkal és szuvenír boltokkal. Úgy döntöttünk először eszünk sushit, így leültünk az egyik asztalhoz, mikor egy japán fiúcsapat jött oda hozzánk, hogy szeretnének velünk képet csinálni. Miután végeztünk a sushival körbenéztünk, majd kimentünk egy kinti részre, ahol meleg lábfürdő volt. Ez egy keskeny kis patakocska volt néhol kisebb-élesebb, majd nagyobb laposabb kövekkel kirakva, amin át lehetett sétálni. Az út végén egy halas lábkezelő volt, amit én mindenképpen ki akartam próbálni. Itt egy kisebb épületben, egy medencében kisebb halak vannak, amibe belelógatjuk a lábunkat és a halacskák leeszik az elhalt bőrréteget. Mivel én nagyon csiklandós vagyok, csak a negyedórás kezelést kértem, de még így is nehezen tartottam vissza magam a sikoltozástól. Az első 5-8 perc rettenetes volt, azt hittem már sírni fogok, annyira csiklandozott. A mellettem ülő idősebb házaspár meg csak mosolygott rajtam. A 15 perc 1650 yen volt, ami hát nem a legolcsóbb, de hát ilyet nem minden nap próbálhat ki az ember. Majd mentünk a lányokkal az onszenbe. Ott volt egy nagyobb benti rész, 6 különböző medencével (azt nem kell mondanom, hogy itt a vízhőmérséklet 40 foknál kezdődött) és egy kinti rész 3 medencével, és 4-5 nagyobb fahordóval (forró vízzel töltve). Mi először egy fehér-tejes onszent próbáltunk ki, majd egy sósat, majd kábé 5-5 perc múlva ki is kellett mennünk, annyira forró volt. A kinti rész volt természetesen a legszebb, kövekkel és zöld kerttel körbevéve. Ott sem maradtunk sokat, csak olyan 8 percet, majd mentünk vissza. Minden medence után leöblítettük magunkat hideg vízzel, hogy bírjuk ezt a hőt. Ezután visszamentünk még egyet a játékstandos részhez, ahol ettünk még egy japán jégkását.

Az onszen után pedig elmentünk a Miraikan-ba, ahol éppen az előző napokban mutattak be két női kinézetű robotot a hírekben, akiket híradós bemondónak készítettek. Megnéztük a robotokat (nekem elég ijesztő volt, már annyira élethűnek tűntek), majd körbe néztünk a többi emeleten is, hisz tele volt az épület mindenféle robotokkal. Ez után elindultunk a partra, hogy megnézzük a partot sötétben kivilágítva. Gyönyörű volt a híd a kivilágított Tokió toronnyal a háttérben és a sok-sok színes hajó az óceánon. Mivel már kezdett késő lenni, így hazaindultunk.

Here comes my post about the weekend I spent in Hakone, as promised:

Together with Christine we reserved a room in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese guest house) for the weekend, as we planned to stay from Saturday till Sunday. We left from Shinjuku, where we bought our 2-day ticket (for all the buses, train, pirate ship to be used for free for the 2 days in Hakone and we could also use it in some museums, so we did not have to pay the entrance fee there). The trip to Hakone was about 1,5-2 hours long, but only to one of the city’s main station from where we had to take another train and a bus. We arrived to Lake Ashi around 1pm. There we walked to the Hakone shrine, to which a set of stairs led up through the forest. The red shrine was really charming among the tall trees. Then we went to the lower part of the shrine, where there’s that huge red Tori gate in the water. Then we walked to the shore and boarded one of the pirate ships that took us to the other shore of Lake Ashi. There we boarded another pirate ship, as there are 3 of them cruising on Lake Ashi. Later we walked to the Checkpoint which is kind of like a museum. Here they showed how people lived in in the past in this place which was maintained for soldiers to live here, and it showed their everyday lives. Luckily the weather was fine although there was a chance for rain, so before we went to Sengoku to our ryokan, we visited one of the parks in Gora, which was free for us with our tickets. In this park there was a traditional Japanese garden, an Italian garden with a fountain, and a rose garden. The view from here to the surrounding mountains was really beautiful. Then we had to hurry as the last bus left at 17:30 to Sengoku. In Sengoku we went to a traditional Japanese restaurant that was on the ground floor of a house. Here we had dinner and left to the Ryokan which was about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. The ryokan was huge house, a mix of traditional and modern features, our hosts were really kind to us; they showed and explained everything to us. We got yukatas and there was also an onsen in the ryokan, which we obviously had to try. Our room was quite traditional, there were no beds in it, just a low table in the middle of the room and a plasma tv in the corner. In the sliding cabinets were our tatamis that we slept on. Before that, we watched some Japanese game shows on TV, and then went to sleep wearily. We had to leave the ryokan at 10 in the morning so we went to catch the bus as we wanted to try a traditional teahouse too. The teahouse was on the edge of the forest by itself which made it really atmospheric. On the inside it was really dark as there was not much electricity. Also, the tables and the chairs were made of wood. As everywhere in Japan the tea was for free, and we tried a beverage called Amasake which is a really sweet, warm, non-alcoholic drink made from pressed rice, and we also ordered two freshly made warm mochis (sweets made from rice). Then we headed back to the main station with the bus. Before we went back to Tokyo, we stopped in Odawara on the way home to see the palace there. In the evening we went to a running sushi place in Nakamurabashi called Kappa Sushi, where sushi was only 100yen! J We will probably come back here often.

Ahogy ígértem, itt van a Hakone-s hétvégéről a beszámoló:

Christinnel Hakone-ben egy Ryokan-t (japán tradicionális vendégház) foglaltunk a hétvégére, hisz szombatra és vasárnapra terveztünk maradni. Szombaton délelőtt indultunk Shinjukuból, ahol a kétnapos jegyünket vettük meg (minden busz, vonat, kalózhajó ingyenesen használható volt két napig Hakone-ban és még egyes múzeumokba, sem kellett belépőt fizetnünk ezzel a jeggyel). Az út kábé 1,5-2 órás lehetett, de csak Hakone egyik nagyobb állomására, ahonnan tovább kellett még utaznunk vidéki vonattal és egy busszal. Körülbelül délután 1-re értünk oda az Ashi tóhóz. Ott elsétáltunk Hakone szentélyhez, amihez egy lépcsőn felfelé vezetett az út az erdő közepén. Nagyon hangulatos volt a piros szentély a magas fák között. Majd a szentély aljához mentünk, ahol a nagy piros Tori kapu állt a vízben. Ezután elsétáltunk a partra, és felszálltunk az egyik kalózhajóra, ami az Ashi tó másik partjára vitt minket. Ott pedig átszálltunk egy másik kalózhajóra, ugyanis egyszerre 3 kalózhajó úszik az Ashi tavon. Később elsétáltunk a Checkpoint-hoz, ami egy múzeum jellegű épület volt. Itt a régi mindennapokat mutatták be, hogyan éltek az emberek ezen a katonáknak fenntartott területen. Szerencsénkre az idő ahhoz képest, hogy esőt mondtak szép volt, így még mielőtt elindultunk volna Sengoku-ba a ryokan-unkhoz, előtte még elmentünk az egyik Parkba Gora-ban, ahova a jegyünkkel ingyenes volt a belépés. Ebben a parkban, volt egy traicionális japánkert, egy olasz kert szökőkúttal és egy rózsakert. Innen nagyon szép volt a kilátás a körülöttünk lévő hegyekre. Ezután sietnünk kellett, hisz az utolsó busz Sengokuba fél 6kor ment. Sengokuba érve bementünk egy japán tradicionális étterembe, ami egy családi ház földszintjén volt. Itt megvacsoráztunk majd mentünk a Ryokan-ba, ami kb. 10 perc gyaloglásra volt a buszmegállótól. A ryokan egy nagyon szép és nagy tradicionális és modern egyveleg jellegű ház volt, a vendéglátónk nagyon kedvesek voltak velünk, mindent elmagyaráztak nekünk és megmutattak. Kaptunk yukata-kat és egy onsen is volt a fürdőszobában, amit természetesen nem hagytunk ki Christinnel. A szobánk is nagyon tradicionális jellegű volt, ágyak nem voltak benne, csak egy alacsony asztal a szoba közepén és egy nagy plazmatévé a sarokban. Az elhúzható szekrényekből kivettük a tatami matracokat, amiken aludtunk. Előtte még néztünk japán játék show-kat a tévében, majd fáradtan beledőltünk az ágyba. A ryokan-t reggel 10kor kellett elhagynunk, így mentünk a buszra, hisz tervben volt, hogy elmegyünk egy tradicionális teaházba is. A teaház az erdő szélén állt egyedül, ami nagyon hangulatos volt. Belül nagyon sötét volt a teaházban, hisz nem nagyon volt elektromos lámpa. Az asztalok fából voltak, mint ahogy a székek is. Ahogy mindenhol japánban a tea ingyen volt, viszont mi kipróbáltuk az Amasake-t, egy nagyon édes, préselt rizsből készült meleg italt(alkoholmentes) és rendeltünk még két frissen készített meleg mochi-t( rizsből készült édesség) is. Majd indultunk vissza a főállomásra a busszal. Mielőtt még visszamentünk volna Tokióba, megálltunk Odawara-ban a hazaúton, hogy megnézhessük a palotát ott. Este pedig még beugrottunk egy running sushi-s helyre (kappa sushi) Nakamurabashiban, ahol a sushi csak 100 yen volt! J Ide még biztos jövünk többször is.

After 2 weeks I finally had the time for another post. Unfortunately the university was quite stressful in the previous two weeks, and I spent last weekend with Christine in Hakone (we lived in a ryokan but I’ll tell about this in the next postJ). Today’s post will be about 3 theme restaurants that I visited in the last weeks, so this will be a bit longer and full with pictures.

The first one was Shirokuma café, which you’ll might remember from the anime and yes, this is the same café. It’s called Polar Bear Café in English and it is in Takadanobaba. We visited this place with Christine after university as Takadanobaba is on the way to the dorm on one of the train lines (Yamanote sen). As we went around half 13-14-ish, there were not so many customers there and we did not had to reserve a table. The cutest thing is in this café that there are a huge plush panda and a penguin seated to the tables, like they were guests too. You can take pictures so I managed to take a lot of photos. Naturally most of the food and drinks suited the theme of the restaurant. So we ordered a Shirokuma café latte, to which they drew a cute bear face. In the restaurant they showed episodes of the Shirokuma café on a big screen to enhance the atmosphere. There was also a smaller shop at the entrance of the restaurant, where you could buy all kinds of Shirokuma stuff (panda wallet, bags, mobile case, keychain, towels, etc.). The cutest thing was that the waitresses were dressed like Saki-chan, the waitress from the anime.

The second restaurant was the Moomin Café and Bakery in Tokyo Dome City. I believe most of you know this name from somewhere like me. And yes, this is actually not an anime as Moomin is an old Finnish fairy tale and it is exceptionally popular in Japan lately, as the TV-series is of Japanese-Dutch collaboration. Its popularity is almost on par with that of Rilakkuma and Hello Kitty (without joking). Every day you can see people on the street, on the train, or anywhere else carrying around some sort of Moomin merchandise. But back to the restaurant. Here you have to have reserved a table or you will have to wait in line in front of the restaurant as it is so popular. Luckily we just arrived when a 2 person table got free so we quickly ordered a drink (don’t even ask about the price, and it was only a normal coffee… O.o) and we bought cream puffs so we could sit. The restaurant was crowded and as in the Shirokuma café here were also huge Moomin plushies seated at the different tables. On some of the tables you could find smaller plushies of other characters from the cartoon. This place is really atmospheric too, especially as the pastries were also adjusted to the restaurant’s theme. At the entrance there is a small shop where you can buy Moomin goodies and it is constantly crowded. After taking pictures with the plushies and drinking our beverages we left immediately as others have been waiting outside to get in too. I really liked it, it was a nice little place and the waitresses were really adorable to us.

Before the Moomin Café I mentioned earlier we were at the Jump Shop which is the shop of Shounen Jump Manga. Here you can find all sorts of shounen manga and anime merchandise, like One Piece, Dragonball, Naruto, Gintama, Bleach, Kuroko no Basket, and many others. Don’t go there if you have a lot of money as you’ll definitely leave with an empty wallet. It is a great place for the fans of the above mentioned animes. In the pictures you can see what kind of items are in the shop, so I won’t repeat it here, but I also bought a beach towel with Ace on it (from One Piece), Chopper shaped mineral water (also from One Piece, and my most expensive mineral water I’ve ever bought), and 2 One Piece key chains. I almost bought Dragonball and One Piece style biscuits too, but they were really expensive… O.o

And lastly the third restaurant was called Alcatraz, which was a medical prison themed restaurant. It was awesome, really. You should definitely reserve a table beforehand as they usually have a full house from Friday till Monday. So I asked the manager of my dorm to call the restaurant and reserve a table in my name (Jouchi Daigaku no Hana-chan: D). We went on Friday at 19:00 which was great as we had university till 17, so then we left for Shibuya to the Alcatraz. The restaurant was on the second floor of a tall building, and exciting the elevator we did not find the door, just some red buttons in a cage with the following description: Type in your blood type. We were just looking confused and then I started to push all the buttons, then on the third try a sliding double door opened. We entered but there was no one, bloody walls and iron bars everywhere. I pushed the bell there and then came out a long haired guy in a lab coat. I talked to him as Jasmyn does not speak Japanese that well, and we got 2 nurses who escorted us to our cell. We could choose between a lower or upper floor cells – we chose the upper one. Here all the drinks are kind of perverted themed, but there are foods too, like one that resembles the female genitalia, or shaped like boobs. As I’m not a prudish one, I ordered a penis cocktail that one of the doctor guys served in such a way, that he first sprayed some white and sweet cream with an injection into my mouth… weeell we just stared with Jasmyn. After this I dare not to tell what Tamika had ordered (that would be really 18+) and what she had to do with an item, I think you could guess it by the pictures… O.o It was really weird, but we almost died from laughter with the girls. The doctors and nurses were really direct, they enjoyed taking pictures with us/posed for our pictures. The restaurant itself is made of cells and cages, but there were larger rooms where groups could sit. Then at around 8pm they shut down all the lights and I could not even see my hands. A distorted voice said something from the loudspeakers then strobe lights went on. Then we heard from below loud screams and laughter, and in the strobe lights we saw masked people walking around the cells and scaring the guests. All of it was for about 20-25 minutes, and together with Jasmyn we really enjoyed it, Tamika however totally freaked out (she was screaming a lot :D). We stayed till 9pm and while leaving the place some random Japanese girls and guys started to take pictures with us. It was strange as we did not know them but it was also kind of fun. All in all the place has an entrance fee of 500 yen per person, but there is no menu set, so you don’t have to order drinks and food. The food was in large portions compared to their prices (which is not usual in a theme restaurant), and the drinks are served in special ways (and as you can imagine, they are expensive). But I liked the place so much I definitely want to go back there.

Két hetes kihagyás után, végre sikerült újra időt szánnom blogírásra. Sajnos az előző hetekben kicsit stresszes volt az egyetem, múlt hétvégét pedig Hakonében töltöttem Christinnel (egy ryokanban szálltunk meg, erről majd a következő blogban írokJ). Na de a mai blogban három különleges éttermet(theme restaurant) mutatok be, ahol az előző hetekben betértem, így ez kicsit hosszabb bejegyzés lesz, sok képpel!:)

Az első az a Shirokuma cafe, amiről gondolom sokaknak az anime ugrik be, és igen, ez bizony az animéből ismert kávézó. Angol neve a Polar bear cafe, ami Takadanobaba-ban található. Ide egyetem után ugrottunk el egyik nap Christinnel, hisz Takadanobaba épp a hazaúton van az egyik vonat vonalon (Yamanote sen). Mivel délután 1-2 körül mentünk, így hála ég nem voltak sokan és asztalt foglalnunk se kellett. A legcukibb a kávézóban, hogy van egy óriás plüss panda és egy plüss pingvin az asztaloknál leültetve, mintha ők is vendégek lennének. Fotózni szabad, úgyhogy sikerült több képet is csinálnom. Természetesen az ételek és italok legtöbbje itt is az étterem témájához illeszkedett. Így rendeltünk egy shirokuma-s caffe latte-t, amire cuki medve arcot kaptunk. Az étteremben egy nagy tévén pedig a Shirokuma cafe animéből adta le részeket, hogy még hangulatosabb legyen. Ezenkívül még volt egy kisebb bolt rész az étterem bejáratánál, ahol mindenféle Shirokumás dolgot lehetett venni( pandás pénztárcát, táskákat, mobiltokot, kulcstartót, törölközőt, stb). A legaranyosabb pedig az volt még, hogy a pincérnők úgy voltak öltözve, mint Saki-chan( a pincérnő) az animéből.

A második étterem a Moomin cafe and bakery volt Tokyo Dome City-ben. Úgy gondolom, mint ahogy nekem is, többeknek is valószínűleg mond azért ez a név valamit. És igen, ez nem egy anime mivel a Moomin egy régi finn mese és Japánban rettenetesen népszerű az utóbbi időben, hiszen a sorozat Japán-Holland koprodukcióban készült. Már-már Rilakkuma és Hello Kitty népszerűségével vetekszik (és ezt viccen kívül). Nem telik úgy el nap, hogy ne látna az ember valakinél valamilyen Moomin-os dolgot az utcán, a vonaton, vagy bárhol máshol. Na de vissza az étteremhez. Ide legtöbbször foglalni kell asztalt, vagy várni kint az étterem előtt, hogy felszabaduljon hely, ugyanis annyira népszerű ez az étterem. Szerencsénkre mi akkor mentünk be, mikor épp egy kétszemélyes asztal felszabadult, így gyorsan rendeltünk valami italt (ne is kérdezzétek az árát, egy sima kávé volt…O.o) és vettünk egy krémmel töltött puffancsot, hogy leülhessünk. Az étterem természetesen tele volt, és mint a Shirokuma cafe-ban, itt is voltak nagy Moomin-os plüssök több asztalnál is leültetve. Az asztalokon pedig néhol lehetett találni még kisebb plüssöket is a többi figurával a meséből. Ez a hely is nagyon hangulatos, főleg hogy a pékáruk itt is az étterem témájához igazodnak. Az étterem bejáratánál lehetett találni egy kisebb boltot Moomin-os dolgokkal, ahova alig lehetett odamenni, annyian voltak folyamatosan ott. A plüssel való fotózkodások és az italunk elfogyasztása után mentünk is, hisz már kint álltak többen is helyre várva. Nagyon tetszett, nagyon kedves kis hely volt és a pincérnők is rettenetesen aranyosak voltak velünk.

A Moomin cafe előtt (amit fent nem említettem) pedig a Jump shop-ban voltunk, ami a Shounen Jump mangának a boltja. Itt minden shounen manga- anime cuccok megtalálhatóak, mint a One piece, Dragonball, Naruto, Gintama, Bleach, Kuroko no Basket, és még sorolhatnám. Hát ide ne menjen az ember sok pénzzel, mert üres pénztárcával megy ki. Ez egy kánaán mindazoknak, akik szeretik a felsorolt animék közül is egyet-, kettőt. A képeken megnézhetitek mik vannak a boltban nagyjából, így nem fogom felsorolni, viszont amit vettem az egy Ace-s strandtörölköző volt( One Piece), Chopper( One Piece) formájú ásványvíz( ilyen drága ásványvizet nem tudom mikor vettem utoljára…), és két darab One Piece-es kulcstartót. Majdnem vettem Dragonball-os meg One Piece-es kekszeket is, de hjajj de drágák voltak…O.o

És végül a harmadik étterem, ami az Alcatraz nevű börtönkórház témájú étterem volt. Hát ez csúcs volt, de komolyan. Ide, mindenképpen érdemes előre foglalni, mert péntektől- hétfőig telt ház szokott lenni. Így megkértem a koleszom menedzserét hívja fel az éttermet és foglaljon nekünk a nevemre ( Jouchi Daigaku no Hana-chan :D). Péntek 7 órára mentünk, ami remek volt, hisz egyetemen voltunk 5ig, így kényelmesen utána elindultunk Shibuyába az Alcatrazba. Az étterem egy magas épület második emeletén található, ahova egy liftből kilépve nem találtuk az ajtót, csak ketrecbe bedugott piros gombokat a felirattal: „Add meg a vértípusodat”. Mi meg csak néztünk, most mi van, erre elkezdtem nyomkodni a gombokat, a harmadikra kinyílódott két oldalra egy ajtó. Bementünk, mire senki nem volt ott, rácsok és véres falak mindenhol. Megcsengettem az ott található csengőt, erre kijött hozzánk egy hosszú hajú orvos köpenybe bújt fickó. Én beszéltem vele, mert Jasmyn nem igazán tud japánul, mire kaptunk két nővérkét, akik elkísértek minket a cellánkhoz. Lehetett választani lentit vagy fentit kérünk- mi a fentit választottuk. Itt az összes ital enyhén szólva perverz témájú, de vannak ételek is, amik egy női nemi szervet formálnak, vagy cici formájúak. Hát nem annyira prűd létemre, én egy pénisz koktélt kértem, amit úgy szolgált fel az egyik doktor srác, hogy először egy injekcióval a számba spriccelt valami édes fehér krémet…..háááát Jasmynnel csak néztünk. Ezek után inkább el se mesélem, hogy Tamika itala mi volt( az már tényleg korhatáros lenne), és hogy mit kellett csinálnia valami eszközzel, a képekről szerintem lehet ugyis kitaláljátok..O.o Az biztos hogy tiszta fura volt, de majd meghaltunk a nevetéstől a lányokkal. A doktorok és nővérkék nagyon közvetlenek voltak, szívesen pózoltak velünk / nekünk különféle képekhez. Maga az egész étterem különféle ketrecekből állt, de voltak nagyobb termek is, ahova nagyobb csoportok is helyet foglalhattak. Majd körülbelül 8kor történt az, hogy lekapcsolták az összes fényt, és a kezemig sem láttam el. Egy eltorzított hang kezdett bemondani valamit a hangszórókba, majd villogózó fények indultak be. Egyszer csak arra lettünk figyelmesek, hogy egypár helyről lentről sikolyok és hangos röhögések jönnek, majd a villogózó fényben mi is kivettük, hogy maszkos emberek járkálnak a ketrecek között, ijesztgetve a vendégeket. Az egész kábé 20-25 perces lehetett, amit én és Jasmyn nagyon élveztünk, viszont Tamika kicsit kivolt (sikogatott összevissza: D). Végül olyan 9-ig maradtunk, majd kifelé menet egypár japán lánycsoport és pár fickó az ott levő vendégek közül elkezdett velünk így random fényképezkedni. Hát elég fura volt, mert nem ismertük őket, de vicces volt. Összességében a helynek van egy 500 yen-es belépője (személyenként), viszont nincs menü szett, így nem muszáj italt is meg ételt is rendelnünk. Az ételek az árakhoz képest nagy adagok (ami nem megszokott ilyen különleges éttermekben), az italok meg különlegesen vannak felszolgálva (viszont mint ahogy az várható nem olcsók). Viszont annyira tetszett, hogy mindenképp szeretnék még ide visszajönni.

As I managed to see 3 sights this week, this post will be again a longer one. On Wednesday after Japanese class we went to Akasaka with Christine to see the Hikawa shrine. If the name’s familiar to you but you don’t know why, I’ll help; it’s the famous Sailor Moon shrine. Rei Hino and the other girls spent a lot of time at this shrine in the anime. The rain did not bother us at all and we took our raincoats and umbrellas and went to the shrine. The shrine is a little hidden, the way to the shrine paved with trees leads from in a side street. This is a smaller but equally famous shrine, compared to the others in Tokyo; the many visitors there despite the rain are proof of this. It has a special atmosphere like it would be in a forest, however the shrine is in the middle of the city. Around the main shrine there are smaller ones where you can leave offerings and other items like figurines, chocolate, drinks, and personal items.

On Saturday together with my university club (15 Japanese and 8 foreign students), we went to visit the Ghibli Museum, which is in Mitaka. As this was an event planned by the club, it was already planned regarding every detail. It’s important to know that you cannot buy tickets at the Ghibli Museum, you have to book them beforehand and buy them in a konbini (about 3-4 weeks earlier). Luckily all of this was already arranged by my club so we only had to pay for it. The trip to Mitaka wasn’t too long, we went 4 stations with the train form the university. There we took the Ghibli bus, which took us to the Museum in about 5 minutes. It is important to know that you can only take pictures outside the museum, that’s why I don’t have too many of them, and the ones that show the interior I got from the internet. Outside at the entrance there is a huge Totoro figure and we took pictures with it. Then inside we got a 3 piece frame set from one of the Ghibli movies together with our ticket. Luckily I got mine from “Howl”, but many other got theirs from “Kiki” or other movies. The inside of the museum was wonderful! There are many rooms where they show you the different techniques they use to make the movies. There are also several figurine models on display. One of the rooms had a giant plush Neko Bus, but sadly it’s only for the children (and all of us wished to be kids again). My favorite were the rooms of Miyazaki sensei, his office, drawing room, and his private room. There were all kinds of sketches and drawings on the walls with Miyazaki’s handwriting, and there are bookshelves with the scripts    and screenplays of the movies which you can actually take and scroll through. It is really cozy and you kind of feel like being in the life of Miyazaki sensei. The big hall which connects the different rooms in the most interesting with its many stairs, smaller and bigger gates and passageways, and a transparent mechanical elevator. At the top of the museum is a smaller garden where you can arrive through metal caged stairs. There you can take pictures of the huge robot from the Nausicaa movie. One of the attractions in the museum is the fact that they show a different short movie every time. On Saturday we watched the story of Mei the little girl and a small Neko Bus from the Totoro movie. Then we went to the gift shop where all of us made our wallets a bit lighter. At the end we sat in the Ghibli café to have some ice cream, and after that we went home.

On Sunday in this good weather I visited Ochanomizu (the name means tea water) to see one of the big shrines, the Kandamyoji shrine. As the Japanese football team had its first match on the World Championship, I saw many people on the way there wearing blue football jerseys. The funny thing for me was to see not only the younger but also the older generation, even elder couples wearing the Japanese football jerseys. I saw lots of people on the train too wearing these clothes. But back to the shrine: Kandamyojin shrine is a beautiful red colored shrine with a big gate at the entrance. This shrine is also famous for its ’ema’s (which are small wooden plates you can buy at a shrine) decorated with beautiful manga and anime characters. Maybe this has to do with the building being close to AkihabaraJ. Next to the big shrine are some smaller ones side by side for the lesser gods. In one of the side buildings is a smaller souvenir shop where you can buy the cutest things (I could not resist to buy the plush koi and the maneki neko figurine you can see in the picture).

Mivel a héten 3 dolgot is sikerült megnéznem, így jön újra egy hosszabb bejegyzés. Szerdán japán után Christinnel elindultunk Akasaka-ba, a Hikawa szentélyt megnézni. Ha valakinek ismerősen hangzik, akkor segítek, ez a híres Sailor Moon szentély. Rei Hino és a többi lány is ennél a szentélynél tölti idejét többször is a Sailor Moon animében. Christine-t és engem nem igazán zavart az eső, fogtuk magunkat és elindultunk esernyővel és esőkabáttal. A szentély egy eldugott helyen van, az egyik mellékutcából nyílik a fákkal övezett út felfelé a szentélyhez. Ez egy kisebb, de éppúgy híres szentély, mint a többi Tokióban, hisz még az esőben is több látogató akadt. Nagyon hangulatos, olyan érzése van az embernek, mintha egy erdő közepén lenne a szentély, pedig a város közepén helyezkedik el. A fő szentély körül kisebb szentélyek találhatók, ahol különböző áldozati tárgyakat lehet hagyni(szobrocskák, csokik, üditők, személyes tárgyak).

Szombaton az egyetemi klubommal (15 japán egyetemista és 8 külföldi egyetemista) elmentünk a Ghibli múzeumba, ami Mitaka-ban található. Mivel ez egy, a klub által rendezett esemény volt, így már előre meg volt tervezve, hogy megyünk ide. Fontos tudni, hogy a Ghibli múzeumnál, nem lehet helyben jegyet venni, ide előre (kb- 3-4 héttel korábban) már le kell foglalni a jegyeket majd egy konbiniben megvenni őket. Szerencsénkre ezt a klubom már elintézte, úgyhogy nekünk csak fizetni kellett a belépőt. Az út Mitaka-ig nem volt hosszú, az egyetemtől 4 megállónyira volt. A vasútállomáson pedig felszálltunk a Ghibli buszra, ami elvitt minket kb. 5 perc alatt a múzeumhoz. A múzeumról tudni kell, hogy csak kint lehet képeket csinálni (ezért sincs olyan sok képem; amik bentről készültek azokat az interneten találtam). Kint a bejárat mellett van egy nagy Totoro figura, amivel természetesen mi is lefényképezkedtünk. Majd befele menet, kaptunk a jegyünk mellé egy 3 db-os filmkocka részletet az egyik Ghibli filmből. Szerencsémre én Howl-ból kaptam, de voltak többen is akik Kiki-ből kaptak egy részletet, vagy más filmekből. A benti részt csak úgy tudom leírni, hogy csodálatos! Több terem van, ahol bemutatják, hogyan készülnek a különböző technikák a filmekhez. Vannak különböző figura modellek is kiállítva. Az egyik teremben van egy óriási plüss Neko Bus, de sajnos csak a gyerekek használhatják (mind azt kívántuk bárcsak újra gyerekek lehetnénk). A kedvenc termeim viszont Miyazaki sensei irodája, rajzoló helysége és saját privát szobája tetszett. A falakon mindenféle vázlatok és rajzok találhatók Miyazaki kézírásával, vannak könyvespolcok ahol kézbe vehetők a különböző filmek forgatókönyvei. Nagyon hangulatos és már-már az ember úgy érzi, hogy belecsöppent Miyazaki sensei életébe. A nagy terem ahonnan a különböző termek nyílnak pedig az egyik legérdekesebb, a sok össze vissza lépcsővel, kisebb- nagyobb átjárókkal és kapukkal, és egy átlátszó mechanikus lifttel. A múzeum tetején egy kisebb kert található, ahova egy vasketreces lépcsőn keresztül lehet felmenni. Ott a Nausicaa filmből a nagy robottal lehet fényképezkedni. A múzeum egyik érdekessége, hogy minden alkalommal más-más rövid Ghibli filmet játszanak le. Szombaton épp a Totoroból ismert Mei és egy kis Neko Bus kalandjáról láthattunk filmet. Majd a végén sajnos beszabadultunk a Ghibli ajándékboltba, ahol senkinek se járt jól pénztárcája. Végezetül pedig beültünk a Ghibli kávézóba, ahol ettünk egy fagyit, majd hazaindultunk.

Vasárnap szép napsütésben elindultam Ochanomizu-ba(igen, az a hely neve hogy teás víz), hogy az egyik nagy szentélyt, a Kandamyoji szentélyt megnézhessem. Mivel ma szerepelt először a japán labdarúgó válogatott a világbajnokságon, így mindenhol a városban kék foci mezes embereket lehetett látni. A legviccesebb számomra pedig, hogy nem csak a fiatalok viselik a japán foci mezt, hanem az idősebb házaspárok is. A vonaton is több embert lehetett látni ezekben a mezekben. Nade vissza a szentélyhez: a Kandamyojin szentély egy gyönyörű piros színű szentély, egy nagy kapuval a bejáratánál. Ez a szentély arról is híres, hogy az ’ema’-kra( a fából készült lapocskák, amit a szentélynél lehet venni) szebbnél-szebb különböző manga- anime figurákat rajzolnak. Talán azzal lehet kapcsolatban, hogy a szentély közel van Akihabarához J. A nagyobb szentély mellett különböző kisebb szentélyek helyezkednek el egymás mellett a kisebb istenségeknek. A szentély egyik oldalsó épületében pedig egy kisebb szuvenír bolt található, ahol cukibbnál cukibb dolgokat lehet venni (sajnos nem bírtam ki, hogy ne vegyem meg az egyik képen látható plüss koi halacskát és azt a maneki neko szobrocskát).

I haven’t posted for a long time as we had midterm exams this week, and I had studied for them last weekend. Both on Monday and Tuesday I had 2 exams on each day, plus I had another the week before on Friday which was the Japanese oral exam. Firstly on Monday we did the first part of the Japanese exam, which was listening, reading comprehension, and Kanji. Then we had the Sociology test, on which I scored 100%. On Tuesday there was the second part of the Japanese exam which was Grammar. Last one was the Anthropology exam, and I received an A for that. All in all I performed really well on my Japanese exam too, as I scored 195 points out of 200, and I reached 100% on the oral exam. I hope my final exams will be as good as these were too.

On Wednesday I decided to go to one of the Museums which had a photo exhibition of Fukushima. Unfortunately it was closed that day, so I walked around in the nearby park. As it was too early, I asked a policeman who was cycling nearby, whether he knows an interesting place, shrine, etc. in the area. It turned out that the famous Yasukuni shrine is not far from there, and it was built to honor the people who died in the internal and external wars. The old policeman on the bike told me he shows me the way to the shrine, just follow him and he’ll be riding the bike very slowly. On the way he asked about where I came from, what I’m doing in Japan, and praised my Japanese language skills (when the Japanese people hear someone speaking their language they praise them all the time). The Yasukuni shrine is at the end of a long road with trees on the side. The first tori gate is the biggest I’ve ever seen in Japan. Then the closer you get, you go through an even bigger tori, and right before the shrine a smaller one. The shrine however is not that ornate or decorated, as it is for those who died in the wars. I took some pictures and then left for the building next to the shrine where they had all kinds of statues. It was a museum called Yúshúkan, which shows the different war time eras of japan from the bushido era to the World Wars. I went in as the first floor was free, and here were a kamikaze plane and two bigger canons on display, then I went home.

Today on Friday after university we went to Shinjuku to the Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant together with Charlotte and Christine. It was hard to find it as it is hidden in the 3rd basement of a bigger mall. Even the entrance was atmospheric, as it was the cover of a book and it opened automatically once you got near to it (like in a fairy tale). Right after the book/the entrance there was a girl with a hat and a watch (like the rabbit in the story) who greeted us. Then came a girl dressed in an Alice-style maid costume and took us to our table. On the inside the place was even more atmospheric. The first part resembled a hedge maze and the second one was in the theme of the Queen of Hearts. The scenery was beautiful and our menu booklet was a small book with a heart shaped lock and key. The first page was a holographic image of Alice from the story. Of course even the food and drinks were Alice themed, and the prices reflected that as well. Obviously in these kind of restaurants and cafés you pay mostly for the place and the service, not just for the food and drinks. I had a „Humpty-dumpty” cocktail (alcohol free), which was a mango drink with flower decoration (800yen). Then for desert I had a „Cheshire cat” which was really delicious (800yen). From bottom to top it had jelly sauced fruits, raspberry sponge cake, cereals and a vanilla ice cream, then the decoration was 2 bigger biscuits. We had soup for free in smaller teacups, which had an „Eat me” label on it. At the other tables we saw they had cocktails that illuminated, or they were served in small teacups like in the story. The best thing was that they let us take photos of the place and even together with the Alice serving maids. Then we paid and got an Alice themed pack of strawberry tea as a gift.

Midterms are over, yayy!!! A vizsgáknak vége, igeeen!!

Régóta nem írtam, ugyanis az évközi vizsgák (midterms) voltak ezen a héten, amire előző hétvégén végig tanultam. Hétfőn és kedden mindkét nap két-két vizsgám volt, plusz még volt egy azelőtt héten, pénteken is, a szóbeli japán. Hétfőn elsőként a japán vizsga első részét csináltuk, meg ami hallás utáni értés, olvasás és Kanji (írásjelek) volt. Ezután pedig a Szociológia tesztet írtuk meg, ami 100%-os lett. Kedden jött a japán vizsga második része, a nyelvtan. Az utolsó vizsgám pedig az antropológia vizsga volt, amin sikerült egy A-t elérni (azaz magyar 5-öst, ha így tetszik). Összességében a japán vizsgám is nagyon jó lett, 200 pontból 195-öt értem el, a szóbelire pedig 100%-ot kaptam. Remélem, majd a szemeszter végi vizsgák is ilyen jóra sikerülnek.

Szerdán délután gondoltam elugrok az egyik múzeumba, ahol éppen Fukushimáról fotó-kiállítás van. Nagy sajnálatomra viszont éppen aznap zárva tartottak, így körbesétáltam a legközelebbi parkban. Mivel még kora volt, így megkérdeztem az egyik arra bicikliző idősebb rendőrt, hogy tud-e valami érdekeset itt a közelben, mondjuk egy szentélyt, vagy bármit, amit megnézhetnék. Kiderült, hogy nem messze van a híres Yasukuni szentély, ami a kül-és belháborúkban meghalt áldozatokért lett építve. A biciklis rendőr bácsi (mert hát öreg kis bácsika volt), mondta, hogy szívesen elkísér engem a szentélyhez, nincs messze, csak kövessen, majd nagyon lassan hajt a biciklivel. Közbe-közbe kérdezgetett, mit csinálok Japánban, honnan jöttem, de jó a japánom (tipikus japánok, ha meghallanak egy külföldit, picit is japánul beszélni, már rögtön agyba-főbe dicsérik). A yasukuni szentély egy hosszú, két oldalról fákkal övezett út végén található. Az első torii (kapu), a legnagyobb volt, amit eddig láttam Japánban. Majd ahogy közelebb jutott az ember a szentélyhez, átmentünk még egy nagyobb torii-n, és közvetlen a szentély előtt még egy kissebben is. A szentély nagy, viszont nem annyira díszes, mint ahogyan ez várható is, hisz a háborús halottakért áll ott. Körbefényképeztem a szentélyt, majd elsétáltam a tőle jobbra levő épülethez, ugyanis mindenféle szobrok álltak előtte. Az épület egy múzeum volt, a Yúshúkan, ami Japán háborús időszakait mutatja be a szamuráj-bushido korszaktól a világháború utánig. Bementem, hisz az első emelet ingyen volt. Egy kamikaze-s repülőgép volt kiállítva két nagyobb ágyúval. Körbe néztem majd indultam haza.

Ma, Pénteken suli után, a lányokkal (Charlotte és Christine) elmentünk Shinjukuba, az „Alice csodaországban” témájú étterembe. Odatalálni nem volt könnyű, ugyanis el van rejtve az étterem egy nagyobb áruháznak a 3ik alagsorában. Már a bejárata is nagyon hangulatos volt a helynek. Egy könyvnek a fedele volt az ajtó, ami kinyílódott magától (mint a mesékben), ha közelebb ment az ember. Közvetlen a könyv, azaz a bejárat mögött, egy kalapos- órás lány (azaz a nyulacska a meséből) köszöntött minket. Majd jött egy Alice-es szolgálólányruhába öltözött lány és elkísért a helyünkhöz. A hely belül még hangulatosabb volt. Az első rész egy kicsit labirintushoz hasonlított, a sövényes beülős részekkel, a második rész pedig a szívkirálynő (queen of hearts) témát adta vissza. A díszlet gyönyörű volt! A menülap pedig egy kiskönyv volt, szívecskés lakattal és kulccsal. Az első oldal egy hologramos kép volt az Alice meséből. Természetesen minden étel-ital Alice témájú volt (hát meg az ára is olyan volt!) Persze az ember ilyen éttermekben, kávézókban a helyet és a kiszolgálást fizeti meg, nem pedig az étel-italt. Én egy „Humpty-dumpty” koktélt ittam (alkoholmenteset), ami mangós ital volt, kis virágdíszítéssel (800 yen). Majd desszertnek pedig egy „Cheshire cat”(vigyorgó macska)-et kértem, ami nagyon ízlett (880 yen). Alulról felfelé a következők voltak benne: zselés-szószos gyümölcsök, málnás piskóta, gabonapehely és egy vanília fagylalt, majd ehhez a díszítés két nagyobb piskótatallér szerűség volt. Kaptunk ingyen egy kisebb teáscsészébe levest, amit egy „Eat me”(egyél meg) felirattal tálaltak. A szomszédos asztaloknál láttuk, hogy voltak olyan koktélok, amik világítottak, vagy amik olyan kis teáscsészékbe voltak felszolgálva, mint amit a mesében lehet látni. A legjobb a helyben az volt, hogy megengedték, hogy fényképezhessünk. Még az Alice-es szolgálólányokkal is csinálhattunk közös képeket. Majd miután fizettünk, kaptunk egy Alice csomagolású epres teát ajándékba.

So here comes my promised entry about Disneysea. I wanted this post to be separate, as it will be a long one if I’ll tell everything. We agreed to meet with Momoko (who I met in summer 2 years ago in Graz where she was an exchange student) on Sunday at Maihama, the station for Disney Resort. Tokyo has two Disney Park; Disneyland and Disneysea. We went to Disneysea now which is a theme park like the other, but mostly with water-themed attractions and a huge lake in the center of the park. A separate Disney-themed train takes you to the entrances of the two Resorts, and it has Mickey-themed handholds and windows. They also play the music of Disney movies on the way. We arrived at around 12:30 and were glad to see that we did not have to queue in for the tickets. (I have to mention that most Japanese buy their tickets beforehand at one of the konbinis.) Disneysea has 7 big areas: Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon, Lost river delta, Port Discovery and American Waterfront. We went to the Mermaid Lagoon first, which was an indoor park, mostly for children. It had been decorated with beautiful lighting and wonderful colors. This reminded me of The Little Mermaid and Ariel and we even saw Neptune’s statue at the entrance. We tried one of the rides and went on to the Arabian Coast, which invoked the scenery of the Disney movie Aladdin. The large fountain decorated with several different faces and heads of Genie and lots of flowers really made the place look fun. As there were lots of people here we did not stay for too long, just to take some pictures and went to our next destination, the Lost River Delta, which had Indiana Jones-themed attractions. Here after 1 hour of standing in the line we got in. It was fantastic! The different effects and robots which I totally thought to be human; the Japanese are really awesome. I have been in several theme parks and amusement parks in Germany, Georgia, Austria, and London, but never saw such realistic things.

After this we headed to the tall building of the Tower of Terror (which is a hotel), where the most popular attraction was in the whole park. Sadly we had to wait here a little longer, about one hour and forty minutes but it was worth it. It started with a ghost story we had to listen to and then we went to a room and sat in an elevator that took us to the top of the building and from there we fell. This was a Free Fall attraction, which I really liked, as you can see on the picture below. :) The point of these rides is that all of them come with a story, so inside while waiting, you have to go through different tunnels, rooms, and corridors, which are sometimes spooky, interesting, and funny. While free falling the elevator stopped sometime and we could see a room with a ghost in it, and it was very realistic. After the Tower of Terror we went to the American Waterfront to eat something, where there were vintage American housed built everywhere and of course burger diners. Then we went to Port Discovery where luckily we did not have to stand in line as we got ourselves Fast Passes, that gives you a separate ticket for a specific hour (obviously we had to get it 4-5 hours before, or you’ll get none). Here we went to the Stormrider Simulator, which started in a room where they explained to us that a large storm is coming and we have to fly a special plane into the storm and destroy it. As it was a simulator we had to sit in one place all along, but the seats moved constantly while on the big screen they showed the movie which made us feel like we were actually flying. There was smoke and rain too and we got lots of it as our plane has crashed. The most terrifying experience was for me when one of the parts flew into our plane and got stuck right above my head; I almost had a heart attack.

After that we went to look for souvenir shops quickly. As Christine and I were so smart as we did not bring any cardigans and it was already chilling and windy at 6pm, we had to buy (sadly of course) Disney tops which we wore immediately. Then as Momoko suggested we looked for seats to see the Fantasmic water-firework attraction performance in the evening. It was truly wonderful. In the center of the lake, on several ships, all kinds of Disney characters appeared, and Mickey Mouse entertained the crowd with firework and water-effects. We got a little story here too, and it lasted for about 20 minutes. Then we ran for the last attraction the Volcano of the Mystic Mountain, as we had Fast Passes which were still valid for 10 minutes. We arrived just in time, did not have to queue in either, so we got in quite fast. Before this I thought my favorite will be the Terror Hotel, or the Indiana Jones ride, but in the end this one was the best. The story for this one was about a ride to the center of the Earth. We got in some kind of mining-shuttle, then we went through a tunnel where we could see all kinds of alien flora and fauna. Obviously all of these were moving and were so realistic that on many occasions I wanted to reach out and touch them. Here there were also some parts which were spooky but the most of it was just marvelous. Then at the end came swift ride and fall and then we arrived. It was already 9:30pm so we had to go. We walked to the exit sadly and sometimes looking back at the beautifully lit Disneysea. At the station we said goodbye to Momoko and went home with Christine.

As Disneysea is exactly next to Disneyland, we will not miss that either! But we will definitely try to go there after university on weekdays when there won’t be that many people around. I can’t wait!

Akkor itt következik az ígért Disneysea-s posztom! Ezt mindenképp külön szerettem volna megírni, mert ez így is magában egy hosszú poszt lesz, ha mindent leírok. Vasárnapra volt megbeszélve Momoko-val (akit még tavalyelőtt nyáron ismertem meg Grázban, cserediák programban volt az egyetemünkön), hogy találkozunk Maihama-nál a Disney Resort állomásánál. Azt kell tudni a Disney Resort-ról Tokióban, hogy két Disney parkja van, mégpedig Disneyland és Disneysea. Mi most Disneysea-be mentünk, ez is egy hasonló témapark, mint Disneyland, de itt leginkább víz-témájú attrakciók vannak meg egy nagy tó van a park közepén. Disneylandba és Disneysea-be, egy külön Disney témájú vonat visz minket a bejáratokhoz, aminek Mickey-s formájú ablakai és fogózkodói vannak. Az út közben pedig Disney mesék zenéit játsszák le a vonaton. Körülbelül fél 1-re értünk oda és örömmel láttuk, hogy a bejáratnál nem kell sorba állni.(Bár megemlíteném, hogy a legtöbb japán már megveszi a különböző konbiniknél a jegyeket). Disneysea-nek 7 nagy rész van: Mediterrán kikötő(Mediterranean Harbor), misztikus sziget(Mysterious Island), arab partvidék(Arabian Coast), sellő lagúna(Mermaid Lagoon), Lost river delta, felfedezés kikötő(Port Dicovery) és amerikai vízpart(American Waterfront). Mi legelsőnek a sellő lagúnába mentünk, ami egy beltéri külön park volt, leginkább gyerekeknek. Gyönyörű kivilágítással és pompás színekkel volt feldíszítve ez a részlet. Ez tipikusan Arial a kis hableányt jutatta az eszembe, a bejáratnál még Neptun szobrával is találkoztunk. Egy hintára felültünk, majd mentünk tovább az arab partra, ami pedig Aladdin Disney filmet keltette életre. Egy nagy szökőkút Dzsinni fejdíszeivel és sok-sok virággal tette vidámmá ezt a helyszínt. Mivel itt nagyon sok ember volt, így nem maradtunk sokat, csak pár kép erejéig, majd célba vettük a Lost River deltát, ahol Indiana Jones-os attrakciók voltak. Itt beálltunk a sorba, majd körülbelül egy órás várakozás után már sorra is kerültünk. Hát az valami fantasztikus volt! Azok a különböző effektek, meg robotok- akikre én megesküdtem volna, hogy igazi emberek voltak, hát le a kalappal ezek előtt a japánok előtt. Pedig én már voltam Németországba, Grúziába, Ausztriába, Londonba mindenféle ilyen témaparkban, vidámparkban, de ennyire élethű dolgokat még életemben nem láttam.

Ezután indultunk a Tower of Terror magas épülethez (ami egy hotel), ahol az egyik legnépszerűbb attrakció van a parkban. Itt sajnos már kicsit többet kellett várnunk- olyan 1:40 órát, de nagyon klassz volt ez is! Az egész egy kísértetes történettel kezdődött, meg kellett hallgatnunk egy sztorit és hozzá egy szobába mennünk, majd egy liftbe kellett beülnünk, ami aztán felvitt minket a hotel/torony legtetejére és onnan lezuhantunk. Ez egy Free Fall-os, azaz szabadesés-es attrakció volt, amit én rettenetesen élveztem, mint ahogy a képen is láthatjátok majd lejjebb.:) A lényege ezeknek a felülős dolgoknak Disneysea-ben, hogy mind egy sztorival vannak összekötve, így bent a várakozás közben különféle alagutakon és folyosókon, szobákon kell végigmenni, amik néha kísértetiesek, érdekesek, viccesek. A szabadesés közben is mikor néha megállt a „lift”, megjelent előttünk egy szoba a hotelben, ahol épp egy kísértetet lehetett látni, ami rettenetesen jó effektekkel volt megcsinálva. A Tower of Terror után elmentünk enni az amerikai vízpartnál, ahol pedig mindenféle régies amerikai házak voltak felépítve és természetesen hamburgeres éttermek. Ezután mentünk a Port Discovery-re (felfedezés kikötőhöz), ahol szerencsénkre nem kellett sorba állnunk, hisz korábban szereztünk Fast Pass-t (gyors belépőt), ami egy azonos órára ad külön belépőt nekünk (persze ezt 4-5 órával előtte már meg kell szerezni, különben nem kap már ilyen jegyet az ember). Itt a Stormrider-es szimulátorba mentünk, ami azzal kezdődött, hogy egy nagy teremben elmagyarázták nekünk, hogy egy nagy vihar közeleg és nekünk egy speciális géppel be kell repülnünk oda és megsemmisítenünk a vihart. Mivel ez egy szimulátor volt, így egy helyben ültünk végig, viszont az ülések folyamatosan mozgolódtak, miközben a nagy képernyőn előttünk a film azt az érzést keltve, hogy tényleg repülünk. A sok füst és eső sem maradhatott ki az egész élményből, így kaptunk eleget abból is, mivel lezuhant a gép, amiben voltunk. A legijesztőbb számomra az volt, amikor valamilyen alkatrész beleállt a gépünkbe, és pont az én fejem fölött fúródott be, amitől én azt hittem szívrohamot kapok.

Ezután elmentünk gyorsan szuvenír boltokat nézni. Sajnos Christine és én voltunk, olyan okosak hogy nem vittünk semmilyen kardigánt magunkkal és este 6kor már hideg volt és szeles, így vennünk KELLETT (nagy sajnálatunkra) egy Disney-s felsőt, amit rögvest fel is vettünk. Majd Momoko ajánlására kerestünk ülőhelyet az esti Fantasmic vizes-tűzijátékos előadásra. Hát az valami csodálatos volt. A tó közepén, több hajón különböző Disney szereplők jelentek meg, Mickey egér pedig a tó közepén mindenféle tűzijátékkal és vizes előadással szórakoztatta a nézőket. Itt sem maradt el a rövid történet. Az előadás körülbelül 20 perces volt, majd futottunk az utolsó attrakcióra a misztikus sziget vulkánjába, ugyanis ide is volt egy gyors belépőnk, ami még 10 percig volt érvényes. Még időben odaértünk, sorba állnunk nem kellett, így elég gyorsan sorra kerültünk megint. Ezelőtt azt hittem, hogy a Terrorhotel vagy az Indiana Jones-os lesz a kedvencem, de végén még is csak ez lett. A témája ennek a felülősnek utazás a föld középpontjához volt. Beültünk egy bányászos-űrhajó féleségbe, majd elindultunk egy alagútba, ahol szebbnél szebb idegen élőlényeket és növényvilágot láthattunk. Persze mindegyik mozgott, már-már olyan élethűen, hogy a kezemet akartam volna kinyújtani, megtapintani őket. Itt is volt egypár rész, ami inkább kísérteties volt, de a nagyja csak elkápráztatott engem. Majd jött itt is a végén egy nagyon gyors menet és zuhanás és meg is érkeztünk. Ekkor már este fél 10 volt, úgyhogy ideje volt menni. Szomorúan ballagtunk a kijárat felé, néha-néha még visszapillantva a gyönyörűen kivilágított Disneysea-re. Az állomáson elbúcsúztunk Momoko-tól, majd mentünk haza Christine-nel.

Mivel Disneyland közvetlen Disneysea mellett van, így azt sem fogjuk kihagyni! De oda majd megpróbálunk mindenképp hétköznap egyetem után eljönni, mikor nincs nagy tömeg. Már alig várom!

Sadly the previous days were really busy (mostly with studying), so I did not really have time to post a new entry but I’ll amend that now. The interesting events and sights of last week were the Japanese Toy Museum on Wednesday, the Maid Café on Friday, and Disney Sea on Sunday (this one will come as a separate entry, as it is a bit longer to describe).

On Wednesday after the university we walked to the Tokyo Toy Museum which is nearby. I would rather call this Museum the Playground museum as along with the exhibition they also had over 100 toys you could try out too. Most of the visitors were with their kids but it did not bother us at all, we tried the games and toys anyway. One of the most interesting toys was one that one of the employees started for us. It is a more than 200 years old doll, which after winding it up, started to go around with a cup in its hand if it arrived near someone it bowed its head. Then you had to take away the cup and it stopped. Then again if you gave it back the cup it went to another person. So we had a good time, checked out many traditional Japanese toys and tried them too.

On Friday after the university we went with a smaller group (3 guys, Christine and I) to Akihabara to a Maid Café. Andrew has already been to this place so he knew which girl to seek on the street (these Maids are standing outside on the main street of Akihabara and give pamphlets to people and invite them to the café). After we found our Maid, she took us to a narrow alley, where we went up to the 7^th floor. There, several other Maids greeted us (Irasshaimase! Goshujin-sama, Oujo-sama!- Greetings, master, milady!), then they seated us in school benches until they told us the rules; you can’t just walk into a Maid Café. The first rule was that you can’t take any pictures of the place or the maids (or any employees). Then after they told us how the service will go, we took our places at a table and we got a personal maid called Ichigo, who had a sweet voice and was at our table immediately. I believe I do not have to express the costs of the place (1 hour began at 500 yen (plus VAT) then the menus 3000 yen (plus VAT)). I chose the food menu (a main dish, a snack, a drink and a dessert), the others chose the drinks menu (all you can drink for 1 hour). Before every drink or dish, we had to say a special saying and make some special gestures which “made our food and drinks even cuter”. When they brought my Omurice (omelet rice) Ichigo asked what I wanted for her to draw on my food with ketchup. I asked for a bear and before I started to eat I had to show and gesture all those things. (The others drank so much, I knew this “spell” by heart.) When Andrew was already at his 7^th drink, one of the Maids did a dancing/singing performance, to which we even got tambourines to play on. Then it was time for taking pictures. Everyone got a headpiece (I chose cat ears) and a Maid to take pictures with. Luckily the Polaroid photos were included in the menu as we already left a fortune there. It was a great experience, funny and extra cute, but I do not know whether I want to return there sometime. If I’ll have some extra money later, which I doubt, then maybe I’ll try another Maid Café; until then, this will do.

Sajnos az előző napok nagyon sűrűn teltek (leginkább tanulással), így nem nagyon tudtam blogot írni, de most gyors bepótolom. Ami érdekesebb volt a múlt héten, az a szerdai Japán játékmúzeum volt, a pénteki egyetem utáni Maid café Akihabara-ban és a vasárnapi Disneysea látogatás( ezutóbbi a következő blogban lesz, mivel kicsit hosszabb).

Szerdán egyetem után Christinnel elsétáltunk a Tokiói Játék múzeumba, ami nem messze található az egyetemtől. Ezt a múzeumot inkább nevezném Játékszoba-múzeumnak, ugyanis a kiállított játékok mellett volt több mint 100 játék, amit ki is lehetett próbálni. A látogatók nagyrészt kisgyerekek voltak szüleikkel, de ez nem nagyon zavart minket, mi is kipróbáltunk mindenféle játékot. A legérdekesebb mind közül az a robotbaba volt, amit az egyik ott dolgozó bácsi még el is indított nekünk. Ez egy több mint 200 éves játék-baba volt, amit ha felhúztak, elindult egy csészével a kezébe, és ha valakihez közelért meghajolt. Akkor el kellett venni a csészét a kezéből, mire megállt. Majd ha újra visszaadtuk a csészét neki, ment valaki máshoz. A lényeg, hogy jól éreztük magunkat, sok érdekes tradicionális játékot is megnézhettünk- kipróbálhattunk.

Pénteken egyetem után, egy kisebb csapattal a koleszunkból (3 fiú, Christine és én) elindultunk Akihabarába egy Maid caféba beülni (Maid-szolgálólány/cseléd). Andrew, az egyik srác már volt itt többször is, úgyhogy tudta, hogy melyik lányt kell az utcán keresni (ezek a Maid-ek, Akihabara főutcáján álldogálnak, a kávézó szórólapját adogatják és próbálják beinvitálni az embereket a saját kávézójukba). Miután megtaláltuk a Maid-ünket, elkísért minket egy szűk melléksikátorba, ahol a 7-ik emeletre mentünk fel. Ott több szobalány is mosolyogva üdvözölt minket (Irasshaimase! Goshujin-sama, Oujo-sama!- Üdvözöljük, Gazdám és Hölgyem!), majd leültettek iskolai padokba minket, amíg elmondták a szabályokat. Ugyanis egy Maid cafébe nem lehet csak úgy bemenni. A legelső, amire megkérnek minket, hogy ne csináljunk semmilyen fotót a helyről, vagy a szobalány-cselédekről (azaz semelyik alkalmazottról). Majd miután elmondták, hogy fog lemenni az egész kiszolgálás elfoglaltuk egy asztalnál a helyünket, majd kaptunk egy personal Maid-et (személyes szobalány/cseléd), Ichigo-t, aki mézédes hangon már ott is termett az asztalunknál mihelyst helyet foglaltunk. Hát gondolom, mondanom se kell, hogy az ára meg volt a helynek (az órabér 500 yennel (plusz áfa) kezdődött, majd a menünk mind 3000 yen (plusz áfa) voltak. Én az étel menüt (egy főétel, snack, egy ital és desszert) kértem, a többiek viszont az ital menüt (egy órán keresztül annyi italt fogyasztasz, amennyit bírsz) választották. Minden kihozott italnál el kellett mondanunk és mutogatnunk egy varázsszöveget, amitől „még finomabb és még cukibb” lett az italunk. Mikor kihozták az Omurice-omat (rizses omlett) megkérdezte Ichigo mit szeretnék, hogy rajzoljon ketchuppal az ételre. Egy mackót kértem, majd mielőtt nekikezdtem volna, még ehhez is el kellett mutogatni, mondani egy varázsszöveget (Komolyan a többiek annyit ittak, hogy a végére már kívülről fújtam a szöveget). Mikor Andrew már a 7ik italánál volt, az egyik Maid egy táncos énekes bemutatót adott elő, amihez kaptunk csörgődobokat, amikkel mi is beszállhattunk. Majd jött a fényképezkedés. Itt mindenki kiválaszthatott egy fejdíszt (enyém a cicás volt) és egy Maid-et, akivel szívesen fényképezkedne. A polaroid kép, amit kaptunk, az hála ég a menübe tartozott, mert így is már egy vagyont otthagytunk. Az biztos, hogy egy élmény volt, vicces volt és übercuki, de hogy még visszamennék-e azt nem tudom. Ha lesz még félretett pénzem, amit nem hiszek, akkor el tudom képzelni, hogy kipróbálnék egy másik Maid cafe-t is, de addig ezzel is beérem.
